Prepare for these Upcoming CARB Deadlines
Portable Diesel Engine Airborne Toxics Control Measure
On January 1, 2025, all diesel engines with Tier 2 and Tier 3 emissions manufactured prior to 2009 become prohibited from operating in CA unless already designated low use or emergency use.
Clean Truck Check Program (CTC)
The 90-day compliance test window for diesel trucks with GVWR greater than 14,000 lbs. (Class 4 and up) with registrations due in January or July 2025 is now open.
Truck and Bus Regulation
Vehicles still utilizing the low use (less than 1,000 per year) exemption from the Truck and Bus Regulation have an odometer reading reporting deadline of January 31, 2025
Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF)
Although CARB is still waiting for USEPA to issue a waiver for the ACF to be enforceable, the rule has a February 1, 2025, fleet update reporting deadline.
Off-road Diesel Fleet Regulations
Off-road Diesel Fleets have a January 1, 2025, fleet inventory and affirmation of reporting due March 1, 2025.
Criteria and Toxics Emissions Reporting Regulation (CTR)
CARB’s CTR brings in a new phase of facilities that are required to report. Deadlines are established by the local air district but can’t be any later than May 1, 2025.
