New Portable Equipment Regulations

Effective November 30, 2018

Owners or operators of portable engines and certain other types of equipment can register their units in PERP in order to operate their equipment throughout California without having to obtain individual permits from local air districts. California Air Resources Board adopted amendments to PERP that will become effective on November 30, 2018. Starting on this date, we will be issuing registrations based on the new requirements.
